AI-first full-stack developers, Bengaluru
We're hiring 3–5 AI-first full-stack developers in Bengaluru — the founding engineering team for a group of travel and software businesses that have been operating for over a decade.
TechCircle is the hiring portal for these companies. We built it because this role spans several brands and products, and we screen on real work rather than resumes.
The businesses you'd build for
Adventure travel brands
- HimalayanWonders — trekking in Nepal
- TrekkingHero — Kilimanjaro and Tanzania
- PatagoniaHero — Chile, Argentina, and Antarctica
- An Alaska brand, and a Southeast Asia brand in development.
Visit the sites — every tour page, enquiry form, and booking flow you see is what you'd be working on.
Products in development
- PhraseWarden — a Google Ads optimization product born from running our own campaigns for ten years.
- LaneStar — AI-powered store intelligence for gas stations and convenience stores (early stage).
- TouristLink — a social travel marketplace we launched in 2011, being rebuilt for the AI era.
The travel brands fund the work and generate the data; the products are where that experience compounds. Depending on your strengths, you'd work across both.
The team today
Our Indian company has run an office in Nagpur since 2006 — about a dozen people in operations — and our sales team of eight works across five countries, close to the destinations we sell. The Bengaluru engineering team is the newest piece: you'd be engineer #1 through #5.
TouristLink, launched in 2011, was covered by the travel and startup press of that era:
- Moneycontrol, August 2012 — launch, team, and business model
- PhocusWire (Tnooz), January 2012 — platform profile
- YourStory, June 2012 — team, traction, and Startup Chile selection
- FinSMEs, May 2012 — Startup Chile seed funding
- TechCrunch, September 2013 — 88mph accelerator selection
Who you'd work with
I'm David — founder, and until now the entire product, engineering, and marketing team for the travel brands. I work AI-assisted end to end; Claude Code is a core part of how we ship. You'd work directly with me, alongside the operations and sales teams.
What you'd actually build
- Attribution and measurement — ad click to enquiry to booking, end to end, feeding real conversion values back to the ad platforms.
- The optimizer loop — experiments, lead scoring, and models that improve conversion automatically across the brands.
- CRM and booking platform — the tools sales and operations use daily.
- Product work — PhraseWarden and LaneStar for those with the right profile; measurement and ML-shaped problems throughout.
This is ownership work on live systems. What you ship affects revenue within days, and you'll see the numbers move yourself — during interviews I screen-share the real dashboards.
The process
- 1. Screening questionnaire — four questions about real work you've done. Every submission is read personally; interview invitations reference your specific answers.
- 2. A 15-minute call with me — half technical, half fit.
- 3. Decision within 3 business days — every time.
- 4. Paid trial week — before any offer, a 5-day paid working session in Bengaluru on a real, scoped project. You see exactly what the work is; we see exactly how you work.
Wondering what happens if you're hired? See After the week.
Practical details
- Location: Bengaluru, onsite — a small team moving fast on live systems.
- Compensation: we ask your expectations early and don't lowball people we're excited about. The trial week is paid, at a rate agreed per candidate.
- Start: varies by candidate; we've hired people serving notice and people who could start Monday.
